So here it is, recently I have been into using more natural products on my skin so Lush and Sukin are great reliable brands. Don't get me wrong, I am not a person who uses organic and natural products all the time, I am perfectly fine with ingesting crap junk food and food full of preservatives, I only wish I had the will power to use organic ingredients in my food and resist the urge to buy the packaged fatty junk food but I am just not that kind of person! But I like the idea of putting organic products on my face ... and it fortunately seems to work for me. Another positive of the routine is that it doesn't break the bank!
The 9 to 5 cleansing lotion is fantastic! In the morning I apply it and use a tissue to remove, you don't have to keep it on for any amount of time you just quickly apply and remove. You can use a cotton pad to remove it but I am never organised enough to always have those on hand so I much prefer using tissues. At night it is great for removing make up! I use an eye make up remover for all eye make up but for everything else I just apply this twice to ensure that all the make up is removed. This bottle is $7.95 from lush and for 240g its $15.95 which lasts a lifetime! Click here to check out the website!
So next step is toning. This has a spritzer sprayer which is very easy apply, I don't like the other ones that you have to put on a tissue to apply to the face. Its quick and easy to do a couple of sprays and then your done with your toner. This balances out the oils on your face and ensures that you don't have a lot of shine throughout the day while moisturising at the same time. Its $7.95 for 100g and $20.95 for 250g so its once again good value! Click here to have a look at the website.
I like the concept of having one moisturiser that does everything and is not too expensive and I think this really hits the mark. You just need a little pump of the moisturiser and is quickly absorbed into the skin so you don't have to wait long to apply your make up afterwards. After using these steps I find that my skin is already primed for make up which eliminates another product in the bathroom! This moisturiser is $10 and because you don't need to use much it is very cost effective!
Sometimes I find it too difficult to get to Lush to buy these products so another option is the Sukin Cream Cleanser and Toner. They are both $10 each and probably work out to be the same in terms of cost effectiveness when compared to the Lush products. Sukin is readily available at Priceline, Chemists and some supermarkets.
So there you have it! My skin care routine, it works for me and my skin has been the best it has been in a long time.
Thanks for visiting!
