Skin Care

So recently I have become one of those people who Cleanse's, Tone's and Moisturise's day and night religiously! I don't know what has happened but now when I don't do it I feel disgusting and like my skin is dirty. I always found it annoying when cleansing in the morning with water, I got water all over myself, my skin was never dry after and I am generally a lazy person so if something annoys me I am not going to do it for a long amount of time. I found a solution!!!!! Cream Cleanser! The best thing since sliced bread (trust me!).

So here it is, recently I have been into using more natural products on my skin so Lush and Sukin are great reliable brands. Don't get me wrong, I am not a person who uses organic and natural products all the time, I am perfectly fine with ingesting crap junk food and food full of preservatives, I only wish I had the will power to use organic ingredients in my food and resist the urge to buy the packaged fatty junk food but I am just not that kind of person! But I like the idea of putting organic products on my face ... and it fortunately seems to work for me. Another positive of the routine is that it doesn't break the bank!

The 9 to 5 cleansing lotion is fantastic! In the morning I apply it and use a tissue to remove, you don't have to keep it on for any amount of time you just quickly apply and remove. You can use a cotton pad to remove it but I am never organised enough to always have those on hand so I much prefer using tissues. At night it is great for removing make up! I use an eye make up remover for all eye make up but for everything else I just apply this twice to ensure that all the make up is removed. This bottle is $7.95 from lush and for 240g its $15.95 which lasts a lifetime! Click here to check out the website!

So next step is toning. This has a spritzer sprayer which is very easy apply, I don't like the other ones that you have to put on a tissue to apply to the face. Its quick and easy to do a couple of sprays and then your done with your toner. This balances out the oils on your face and ensures that you don't have a lot of shine throughout the day while moisturising at the same time. Its $7.95 for 100g and $20.95 for 250g so its once again good value! Click here to have a look at the website.

I like the concept of having one moisturiser that does everything and is not too expensive and I think this really hits the mark. You just need a little pump of the moisturiser and is quickly absorbed into the skin so you don't have to wait long to apply your make up afterwards. After using these steps I find that my skin is already primed for make up which eliminates another product in the bathroom! This moisturiser is $10 and because you don't need to use much it is very cost effective!

Sometimes I find it too difficult to get to Lush to buy these products so another option is the Sukin Cream Cleanser and Toner. They are both $10 each and probably work out to be the same in terms of cost effectiveness when compared to the Lush products. Sukin is readily available at Priceline, Chemists and some supermarkets.

So there you have it! My skin care routine, it works for me and my skin has been the best it has been in a long time.

Thanks for visiting!

My Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I thought that I would give everyone a little summary of my Christmas day, what it involved, what I wore, what I did. I have a lot planned for the New Year with my blogging, it might change a bit but it will still have the same concept that keep you coming back (thank you by the way).

I don't have a big family so Christmas isn't a massive event for us, its just a casual family lunch after opening presents that morning. My mum cooks a mass of food for five people which is the reason I will be eating ham, chicken, pork and salads for months to come.

I love waking up and getting everyone down around the Christmas tree and sitting handing out presents and watch people open them and smile at the unexpectedness of their gift. It makes me happy, I just want to freeze the moment and live in it forever.

This was the first present that I opened, and for anyone that knows me personally they know that I love owls and animal print so this pretty much summaries my two loves in life! Its from a local store called Zjoosh which I have talked about previously on this blog here. My mum knows her daughter!

This is another christmas present, of course its animal print! It was bought from a little shop in Byron Bay and was my outfit for the day. I love this dress, I could just slip it on and not have to do much else to make the outfit look good! (Please ignore the mess behind!!!)

I wore these with my dress, they are easy to slip on and make an outfit look ten times better. The first set of bangles only arrived on Christmas Eve from Vanilla Wardrobe. This is a Facebook page set up by a working mum, it is very new and doesn't even have a website yet. It was a very personal experience, she contacted me via messages on Facebook and we worked out payment that would suit me. The bangles arrived relatively quickly and just in time for Christmas!! I love them and will get A LOT of use out of them. The other animal print bangle is from Zjoosh (of course!) which I actually forgot about until I sorted through my jewellery the other day so this is its first debut for a while!

Christmas Flowers .... Christmas Bush and Dahlia's!

So that is my Christmas wrapped up, I have the second half of the family coming over on the weekend so the fun will start all over again!

Thanks for visiting

I'm baccccckkkkkkkkk!!!!!

There are no excuses for my absence! To be honest if I managed my time better I could find the time to blog but things just got away from me as I have had to make a big adjustment in my life. I have gone from studying on my own time in my own way to working more than 45hr weeks! Over the Christmas new year period I (hopefully) have some well earned time off! I have lots of posts planned that selfishly revolve around me and not much else. As I said a lot has changed, my fashion, beauty, skin care and funnily enough my interests, I'm starting to notice my maturity starting to effect the way I think. Please stick with me, I appreciate it!

The nail saga of my life!

I have heard all good things about this Butter London nail polish and now I can be the one passing on the message! It is freakin fantastic .... I love having my nails painted but I hate chipped nails and waiting for nails to dry, this Hardwear fixes all issues! I work in retail as a result because I work on a register my nails get disgustingly chipped! I have had my nails painted with this top coat for 3 days and NO chipping ... first time in weeks that my nail polish has been perfect for more than a day .... could not be more excited. AND my nails were dry within 5 minutes after painting them, now I have to buy their nail polish. The shop I got it from didn't have any colours that I was particularly in love with so I will just have to look around.

L'Oreal nail polish = LOVE! Its end effect is a very professional finish and has a range of colours. They are only $6.95 each and even though they are quite small I never actually finish a nail polish colour before it goes funny so I have decided not to buy anymore big nail polishes unless of course its a really good one like Butter London or OPI! Love OPI's crackle!

Thanks for the read! If you would like me to follow or have a look at your blog post the website in the comments and I will have a read!

Have a nice day

My Jewellery collection!

Before Pandora was the big thing I got a troll bracelet, I always like to say I pre-empt fashion, in this case I really believe it! My troll bracelet is full of charms that all have their individual events or meanings attached to them. For my 18th birthday I was given a Pandora bracelet with one charm instead of wearing the two I added the charm to my troll bracelet and now have the pandora empty, I quite like it empty and I love wearing it with my rose gold bracelet (which I forget to photograph).

The tiffany bracelet in this image was given to me from my friends, I love its simplicity! The earrings in the background are of course of Zjoosh.

Works really well with a peter pan collar!

Love this personalised necklace from a little market in Port Douglas. The sweetest old man made it for me and I love its individuality, its not your usual run of the mill name necklace.

Another cute nicknack I picked up from paddington markets! I love Pinocchio and this puppet stye version adds a bit of fun to my outfits.

Love this Pandora watch. It has an interchangeable face and chain! I am saving up for the black version of this white circle around the watch face, the black version has diamonds in it and is quite expensive but I love it!! I would also like to get a leather wrist chain. I am very fickle and always change my mind so having the ability to change my watch around really suits me as it is a staple item for me!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week and don't forget to quickly follow!

Store Review: Zjoosh

First of all, my apologies for the lack of blogging recently, there was a period of time where I didn't have internet and I have been run off my feet with work and life! I have a few blog spots lined up for the weeks ahead that all about my life and me. I have a few reviews coming up and a couple of insights into my accessories wardrobe!

I am much more of an accessories person rather than clothes, I always choose my accessories before I choose my clothes. There is this store at my local shops called Zjoosh, there are a few around the Sydney Australia area and I am in love! They sell all things accessories, I have spent way too much money there recently as pretty much every lunch break I have I just go in for a look and come out spending a few dollars.

I love this combination! The three black bracelets are too die, the flower reminds me of the Marc Jacobs perfume Daisy (which I own and is another favourite of mine!). At the moment I am really loving gold jewellery, I always match my jewellery tones like I will never wear silver and gold on the same wrist. This bangle (on the right) is navy blue at first I was a little unsure about what to wear it with and how to dress it up but it is growing on me!

This purse style item is another thing on my hot list right now! I am not sure what its exact intentions are as in is it a pencil case, make up purse clutch the list goes on. I am currently using it as a purse to take when I don't really need to use my bag, when I am using a hand bag I use it as an organiser to put things like headphones, antiseptic cream, bandaids, lip balm, keys, phone. It is a really different item too what I usually buy but the minute I saw it I knew that I needed it!

So as of next week I am commencing Spanish lessons, I am really excited to learn a new language and understand more of the Spanish culture because I would really like to go to Spain one day, plus it is also one of the most spoken languages. Anywho I really wanted I nice notebook to use for my lessons and saw this at Zjoosh, it was perfect! I love the cute peacock on each page, I really like the colour in it also, its simple and of course I had to get a matching pen!

Now for some reason I am obsessed with making my keys pretty! I have lots of keys for all different purposes that I have to carry around all the time. I used to have a massive lot of keys and key rings all together but then I saw this key ring at Zjoosh and fell in love, there is a bigger version but I decided to down size the bulk of my keys to one keyring. I really love that it has a clip on it to attach to things easily and a few other handy little things.

I am more than sure that I will be purchasing more from Zjoosh! It has fantastic items and is reasonably priced. It has everything I need, affordable quality!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please give me a follow and have a look at my twitter, I am really grateful for readers support!

I purchased these on Saturday and am currently wearing the pale blue (second from the left). I am in love with the colour!! I am currently wearing it and it have taken top spot from the Rimmel Posh Trash I usually wear. It is a nice, clean colour that matches pretty much all my clothes.

Today I had lunch with my friend who has just come back from Europe, she gave me this beautiful little purse. I love the its pattern, it makes me feel bohemian!

Girls night with Magic Mike!

Beauty by Elloise

My beauty regime isn't overly complicated, I focus on value for money rather than a perceived expensive brand quality.

My hair routine is very simple, I recently started using Redwin's Tea Tree Shampoo. I started using this product because of its natural qualities, I have had so many issues with my hair, it can be very oily and greasy if I don't wash it everyday is gets disgusting!!! This shampoo is aimed at restoring the original pH of hair which apparently fluctuates with your ever changing use of shampoos and conditions. Anyway, I have been using this product for a week now and it is BRILLIANT! I would suggest it 100%. The Tea Tree Oil qualities within the shampoo softens your hair without the use of a conditioner, it repairs and protects whilst removing build up left by other shampoo products. Not only is it great the price tag will increase that smile even more with it being $4.50 (from Priceline) for 250mL .... bargain! That's my hair routine, when I said simple I meant it.

My daily skin routine is also simple. I use the brand Garnier for all my skin cleansing needs. Twice a day I use the PureAcitve Pimple Reducing Toner and to Moisturise I use PureA 24hr Daily Moisturiser. I find this works quite well for me, is reduces blemishes and also heals any scars that have been built up over time.

Now for make up, once again its very simple. I don't like overly complicated and tedious routines because it always ends up with me not doing it. I wear make up everyday, anyone who has seen me without make up should feel very privileged ... or disadvantaged that they have witnessed it! I use L'Oreal Paris "the foundation True Match Super Blendable". I apply it using a foundation brush, I am not a massive fan of foundation brushes because you have to constantly clean them and they can sometimes leave a streaky look on your face, but I can't find another way of applying make up. I hate using my fingers/hands because pretty much I am lazy and then they get all gross and dirty and you have to go and wash them.

For mascara I use Rimmel's glam eyes Day 2 Night, I can't say that I love this mascara, there is nothing in particular wrong with it but I just still think that there is something better out there, maybe I have high expectations, I'm not sure! I have never really found one that I overly like so I am still searching!

Now to remove this lovely thing called make up I use my handy brand Garnier again. It's called Garnier Skin Naturals Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 Gentle Make up Remover. I don't like wipes because they are over priced and don't last nearly as long as a liquid remover that is usually half the price. The one thing I do find about this remover is that is it very oily! If you have oily skin don't use it! It isn't going to help the situation one little bit .... I am very cautious with it and always monitoring its affect but in terms of its make up removing abilities I would recommend it highly!

There are a few little extras in there that I like to use .... I always have paw paw cream on hand because it can legit be used for anything to do with the human body! Well maybe that's a bit of an over reaction but it is a solid product for every bathroom. I am also a lipgloss/lipbalm kind of girl and would go anywhere without either!

So this is my beauty regime summed up! I am a simple girl at heart and don't like overpriced complex routines that make me think when I've just rolled out of bed. I hope you are enjoying my blog and there is lots where that came from!

Ramblers Alert!

Hello to who ever is currently reading! Thank you for visiting, this first post is more of a get to know me so you can gain more of an insight into what I will be blogging about. I like to think that I am an innovator in terms of fashion, if things become too boring I shake them up a bit. The other day I decided that painting the same colour on all of my nails was a tad over done so I decided that I would paint one hand a gold colour and the other in black, I thought I was pretty cool until one of the women of the older population informed me that sometimes going to traditional just makes sense, then she said and I quote "That look reminds me of the homeless person in the city I always walk by". Thank you to that wonderful lady who pointed out my slight craziness but unfortunately I ignored you .... I am crazy and nothing but traditional!  I love being original and so non-traditional ..... the best word to describe me is wacky! Everything about me is me and I'm proud!

This is my current nail situation. My favourite colour is Rimmel's Posh Trash, the name I'm not so sure of but it is a gold colour, very simple and matches everything! Today at work I decided that I was sick of it but couldn't actually be bothered to paint my nails again so I painted two nails two different colours. I used OPI's grey sparkle crackle as a solid colour (it actually works!) and another OPI colour which is a mix between a red and pink. This is my current look, I wonder what the next old lady will say?

My favourite colour is pink, I have had hesitations in the past over my favourite colour but I have finally confirmed it! My room is painted pink, my credit card it pink, my bag is pink.

I had so much hesitation over buying this pink Mimco bag, I always go by the phrase when shopping "If you don't love it now you never will". Well this statement wasn't really applicable within this situation as I had so much hesitation and just decided to do it, it had a massive once off discount on it and was so cheap for what I was buying and I haven't looked back! I wear my pink bag with pretty much everything, I believe it matches every colour except red and pink itself! I am a tiny bit OCD and love everything to be matching! The bag has to match the outfit, the wallet has to match the bag, the nails have to match, the socks have to match .... everything just needs to work together!

Until recently I worked at a florist for over 3 years, over those years I learnt pretty much everything I could know about flowers and I love creating arrangements! I go to the florist and buy three or four bunches of flowers and then go home and have a heap of fun putting them into all different bunches! I don't believe you have to spend a fortune to create a nice bunch! Flowers are now a little hobby of mine although I will NEVER become a florist! I have so much respect to all the florists out there, they work so hard (especially the ones who own their own businesses) and usually just get customers with too much attitude ... well that's my experience anyway. Below are some bunches that I have made.

I am a bit of an over spender! Last week I bought these earrings from a local business in Lane Cove, the shop is called Zjoosh (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zjoosh/137893509598751) and is a fantastic little store with reasonably priced accessories! I love it which of course means that I spend a lot.

This week I have quite a busy roster but I think I might do an outfit post later on or my most used make up. I plan on posting about four times a week depending on my working schedule. I have been reading 50 Shades of Grey by E L James .... it is a real page turner! I will defiantly be reading the second and third books of the series.

Have a great week/weekend and I hope you enjoyed the first post!
